About Tanisha Wilson:

Tanisha Wilson is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Walden University, where she is currently completing her internship at Hearthlight Mental Health under the supervision of Dr. Amy Gorniak. Her studies and research have a focus on health psychology. Her professional interests center on the intersection of health, culture, and mental well-being, with an emphasis on addressing health disparities, trauma, and the impact of social determinants on mental health outcomes. Tanisha is deeply committed to promoting equitable access to quality psychological services and supporting the professional growth of emerging clinicians.

In her role as the Student Representative for the Bexar County Psychological Association, Tanisha strives to strengthen connections between students, early-career professionals, and established practitioners. She is passionate about mentorship, collaboration, and community engagement, believing that shared knowledge and advocacy are key to advancing the field of psychology and improving the well-being of individuals and families in Bexar County.
