About Amy N. Gorniak:

Amy N Gorniak, PsyD, is a San Antonio native. In her private practice, Hearthlight Mental Health, PLLC, she specializes in treating tweens, teens, and adults coping with trauma, loss, and life transitions that have left them struggling to find meaning in the face of challenges; she also provides psychological assessment for a variety of neurodevelopmental and psychological concerns.

Additionally, Dr. Gorniak is actively engaged in research, activism, and community and individual resilience building associated with climate change, ecological degradation, and their impact on mental health and well-being. This includes providing training in climate change mental health and related topics, workshops related to individual and community resilience and sustainable well-being, the development of an online course aimed at building sustainable well-being for those coping with climate/eco anxiety and grief, and provision of group support services such as Climate Cafes and ClimACT groups. She actively volunteers in community emergency response and disaster mental health efforts and mutual aid resource building in her communities.
